I'm the creator of the plugin and only just created it this weekend. So I'd love to hear your feedback/suggestions :)
Why not try adding it on Product Hunt
I'm surprised he hasn't already...
Kinda wanted to have a bit more stable plugin and a video demo ready first but then somebody added it :)
Thank you!
This is super interesting, Andreas! I had never thought about using easing for gradients—really cool!
We're just rolling out our API to build apps inside InVision Studio (where I work.) It would be dope to see something like this in Studio too—I don't know if you would be interested in building something like that :D.
Check it out: https://www.invisionapp.com/studio/platform
Cheers, I requested access so I'm waiting for the invite ;)
This plugin sounds awesome, but I'm gonna be honest. I installed via Sketch Runner. I have one layer selected and I try to run the plugin. Nothing happens. Shame on me, but I don't know how to use this plugin. Maybe you should include a mini-tutorial on the GitHub page. The message I get: layer has only one fill and it's linear gradient. What I tried: layer to have no fills; layer to have multiple fills; What else should I try?
Can't figure out how to get this to work either. Getting the same error message. Tried adding multiple stops, multiple fills, etc. Seems like it should be pretty straightforward but I have no idea how to get it to work.
Same here. Any solution for that?
First create a shape and fill with a linear gradient (2 colors only). Then click the plugin to try it out.
Cheers, the people I tested it on all immediately got it to work so I thought a mini tutorial was redundant but I'll add one. I'll update the plugin and readme very soon
Let me know if you got it to work?
I do exactly that and I get an alert that says "(rainbow emoji), (caution emoji) please check: layer has at least one enabled gradient fill." I'm on build 49.2.
That's awesome. Sketch's gradients have always sucked and this is much better. Thanks.
This is neat! Thanks :)
Great job! Would be nice to have a plugin to ease shadow in the same way. Yes, I know it's not that easy : (
this truly should be part of the core functionality. Great stuff.
Ahhhhhh this is exactly what I needed! Have a project where I need to put a fading gradient over images and almost ditched the idea because I couldn't get it to look right with the stock Sketch gradients.
As I already said to you; Amazing work!
You know what would be really cool? Having the option to edit the gradient, just by renaming the layer. That would super nice!
