I love how the first line is just a simple description of what the product is (in this case Website) just like on all their products. Not the best favicon though.

Haha, this is great! It definitely helps if you know of the product in the first place. I once worked at an Extra Foods, I know that shade of yellow too well :P The grocery store links show the product, which works well to see individual products.

my Canadian friend says growing up, she thought you either bought a brand or a "no name" brand and just looked for the yellow lol. Only in adulthood did she realize it was yet another brand

This tells me nothing about the products and the yellow colour (Canada eh) hurts my eyes.

This site is a great reflection of the brand. Simple.

I also love Van Schneider's Semplice colors and typography.

Helvetica and obvious grid structure existed long before Van Schneider was even born. No Name also existed well before...like decades...

      Read up on design history!

Nice site design – but as someone not familiar with their products, I have no idea what they do or sell? Sounds like some sort of healthy, simple grocery store items? Closed the tab confused..

This is a pretty iconic brand in Canada so I think pretty much everyone in their target demographic would get the connection. If you check out their packaging you'll see the clear connection and that packaging has been around for awhile.
