Fantastic! This makes the iPad so much accessible.

Seems clearly aimed at students. (Non-design students, that is.)

It's exciting that the pencil will finally be on an affordable iPad. I've been using the pro and not enough apps take advantage of the pencil. I want to see how we can make better more precise interactions now that it's affordable.

excited for these classroom management tools to trickle down to parents!

also excited to see what the homeschool market does with this - if anything.

I was wondering is there a specific reason why you can connect it to any bluetooth keyboard but not their own smart keyboard?

There’s no Smart Connector, likely to save on cost, and they’d have to make another form of Smart Keyboard to support it. Probably not too many people want to buy a $159 keyboard for a $329 iPad?

I thought it would be going in the direction of the X with the full screen / no home button approach. Wonder why they decided against it.

My guess is that would the idea behind a future iPad Pro, this is just the entry level model.

As seen below, this is the 'iPad' which is their base product, at $329 it is almost half the cost of the flagship 'PC-killer' iPad Pro.

This year's pro will get that and the new A11X CPU which should be faster than a Core i5.
