That left panel seems pointless. I was waiting for text to load... but theres basically nothing in there. Also what does the dot do? Otherwise it's a pretty nice site
Thanks for your reply and for the feedback!
One question, which dot are you referring to? The one in the navigation links?
Yeah that's the one - I clicked it thinking it would go somewhere. It wasn't until i hovered over the other links i realised it was signifying that the link was active.
Ahh got it. Again, thanks for your feedback, Todd.
I'd suggest that you separate each portfolio item a little clearer. Maybe give them a drop shadow or make them a card.
I'm justing saying this because the images are all of UIs, and it's a bit confusing understanding what the site's UI is and where the portfolio images begin.
Maybe stick the UIs in a mockup with a laptop or something?
Valid point, UI-ception is something I've noticed too - but now I've confirmed it.
Thanks a ton for your feedback.
Looking good. I second the feedback regarding the left panel and UI-ception. I would also group all of the work together. The separation and change in pattern (some have thumbnails, others don't) seems arbitrary right now.
Additionally, I'd consider focusing the titles of your case studies on the experience and outcome that you created (at a high level), rather than the brand name. Unless you worked with a very recognizable brand, the name of the company or product is going to be fairly meaningless.
So "Avocarrot Exchange Platform" could become "An enterprise advertising platform for mobile app developers" or something to that effect.
Hey Austin - thanks for providing Tregg's and Kyle's portfolios. Valuable resources.
Your point is very interesting and frankly, something I hadn't thought about. Totally new perspective for me. Thanks for sharing it.
I will definitely consider it.
