    Impressively bad at conveying information.

I literally couldn't continue reading because of that "clever" animation.

wait... there is more then that animation? lol

I honestly thought this was supposed to be one of those code experiments. But you are right, there is actually information there - I did absolutely not see that oO

how so? i think it conveys the clear message that they can code beautiful things.

just because someone puts text on a page doesn't mean the text is required to be read. obviously legibility is not the focus here, so use your powers of deduction to uncover the intent. just enjoy on an emotional level. that's a totally valid and powerful way to design, too.

Let's just agree to disagree on that one.

So do you think all the animated letters and numbers on that page are intended to be read, or to be used as more of a texture?

I think that to me, it wasn't clear immediately that this was an "art piece", so I started reading the text like a normal person. Then I couldn't read it anymore. That's about it.

If you don't want your text to be read, then don't attach meaning to it. If you think of something like the visuals in The Matrix, it's immediately clear that you can't read that text, it's just there for decoration.

i suppose you also think wolfgang weingart, wim crouwel, piet zwart, david carson are also impressively bad at conveying information.

If the intent is to get more work he's doing himself a disservice

The dude's main jam is making conceptual art pieces. Pretty sure he's not trying to get recruited to do UX for a startup. In that case, the site seems to convey what he does well.

Good animations and micro interactions, but a bad experience overall. I couldn't find out more info about them or click on any of the links.

I'm really curious about what a regular person - not a tech savy one - would interact with this.

The interesting thing about this site has nothing to do with tech-savviness. The whole interest is the interactivity of it, which I think would be equally interesting to any audience who can use a mouse.

Conceptual procedural animations for events and stuff.

It's really cool, but I'm a little disappointed it only displays text based work.
