Fantastic, this is gonna be great. So many design, you wont believe it.
"We will save taxpayers almost $3 million per year as a result of the redesigned site," the official continued. "The president is focused on making smart use of taxpayer dollars and we thought that the previous site was, frankly, costing far too much."
Dying to know what they changed that is going to save them $3 million (50% of the maintenance and security costs of the prior site, apparently).
Also from the same article:
"[The new site] adapts the U.S. web design standards and uses a style that is clean, simple and presidential," they added.
Always great when the predominant website makes adaptations to the design standards.
Great design. Useful inspiration for the sort of small business websites I typically have to design. Nicely done subtle details.
Checked the code, as expected it's a WordPress website. Including a bunch of free plugins such as this one for the image galleries: https://flickity.metafizzy.co/ and Yoast.
It better not cost $3 million.
The previous version was Drupal.
Come back in 18 months and tell me how much you actually saved, not potential savings.
Needs more red, obviously. Or orange.
