Just a note on the marketing page - the progress-through-gif indicators is such a nice and unique touch - well done on the whole with the promotion page.
Being able to restart the videos too was a nice assumption fulfilled.
That is slick! Nicely done with the interface staying static between videos. Perfect.
My favorite part is the imminent release date.
It’s almost here! From Frames and Shapes to Vectors and more, it’s all going live on December 20th.
In anticipation of the big unveiling, here’s a first look at all the features launching as part of our complete screen design toolkit.
Has there been thought in Framer Studio around statefulness and component libraries? I feel like Figma and Subform are innovating in these areas.
^ This. Please. Once states and components can be managed in Framer's Design view it’ll be something that can start replacing a lot of other options.
I didn't even know this existed a few days ago, and it's already looking like a top contender. Can't wait!
They managed to dance around the one feature I was curious if they added. The ability to apply a border to only ONE SIDE of a shape similar to CSS. Does anyone know if they have this feature? Figma and most other tools do NOT have this. It's infuriating. It seems so basic.
Ugh, so agree! This is such a huge pain for me, compounded by the poor handling of lines in Sketch.
At first glance I thought they're collaborating with Figma now, adding all their features.
...whoops :D
These features are somehow essentials for UI designers nowadays. Just getting a little bored of marketing "all new" "better" "innovative"...
I'm wondering if the new 'Naturally responsive layouts' will let you change grids as you resize?. If my 4 col layout on desktop can change to a single column layout on mobile - that would be crazy.
I've recently designed a couple of desktop screens directly in Framer and these are exactly the bits that I was missing. Great job Framer team, can't wait to get my hands on it!
Sketch and Invision scared under the stairs, XD is sucking it's thumb in the corner after seeing this.
Looks promising, eager to try it out!
Looking really promising. Liking that eventually Windows looks to be on the roadmap as well.
there is so much about this that just makes sense! I feel like Sketch is aggravating when I run into a few of these things that are missing!
I can't wait to try this out, there's so many nice features that Sketch is falling short on.
Alright, let's see what they did.
