this is the best and most original product page i've seen in a long time.
Thanks Jim :)
I agree, that gif is killer
PRODUCT SCREENSHOTS!!!! I'm so glad to see them there. More companies need to do that. My biggest pet peeve and its fairly common is for product websites to have 0 product shots. Yes its hard keeping those up to date, but as a user thats what I want to see. What am I getting into? It helps answer so many questions and make me feel confident to move forward.
The animations changing is a great touch too of course haha.
Thanks for the feedback Jonathan. We included some screenshots further down the page, but your right on. Screenshots help sell. This is a relatively new idea in the space so we wanted to give proper explanation before diving into the UI.
The screenshots are too small to really get any value out of them. I loved the page to this point. Not being able to see the interface very well is incredibly frustrating.
Agreed, the page is indeed beautiful, but I was keen to see how the product looks / works in a more practical sense.
Yep, just put a little lightbox with them and that would make all the difference
Totally agree with this... on a 5k iMac the images are microscopic.
Sorry, I actually meant that you DID do it right by including screenshots. It was suppose to be a compliment haha.
But reading the other comments I can see how people would want to zoom in a bit.
lol, thanks jonathan :)
I disagree. I love the way you showcased the product in an interesting way.
I wrote it poorly but I mean it as a compliment. I'm so glad he included screenshots!
Hey there I'm Ian, one half of the team who created Tapwater. We're stoked to put this out into the world and see people use it.
The TL;DR:
Background
We were frustrated with the current state of affairs in managing projects as a freelancer or as part of a small team. Current project management apps are focused on the use case of a large organization: task management, velocity, accountability for managers. They're also priced to sell to larger organizations. As a freelancer or a 4 person company, this isn't necessary.
You do the work, and present directly to a client. You most likely do this through email with the help of frameworks that you've made yourself. As such, you run into some of the pitfalls and limitations of email: uploading files to other services and sending links, losing a deliverable or invoice from months ago, needing to reference meeting notes because someone forgot something.
We wanted to build something that tackled this problem without adding complexity to your workflow.
I'd be happy to answer any questions folks have :)
Is this like the block-chain of a project?
I very much like this.
This idea seems really great, kudos!... and the supporting graphics alone are worth the visit.
Much appreciated, Maxwell :)
I have no idea if this product should be for me or my team.
This looks really interesting to me. I am curious though how the client is supposed to interact here. Is there a way to include the client on the timeline without them being able to see comments and communication between the dev members? I do a lot of freelance work and could see this being useful with the client but I also collaborate with other developers and designers on certain projects.
I think this looks fantastic, because it looks different but is not trying so hard that it annoys you. I see your roboto-esque font though. Gotta have one trendy element in your design :D
Wow! This is great. I signed up.
It would be great to have a demo project in your account the first time you login, so I can have a preview of what I can do with Tapwater.
Also, how does Tapwater compare to Dropbox Paper or Google Docs?
Hey Antoine,
Example Project
When you get into the app, you should be greeted by an empty state with a link to example project. We didn't want to clutter you with anything you had to clean up from the get go :)
Differences from products like Dropbox Paper and Google Docs
