        But no, actually. I am not complaining because the author is plugging a great tool. Actually, I am not complaining at all. I have just pointed out, that the medium post is more about recreating the UI in figma.

      FWIW, I collab'd with Figma after making this on my own accord, but you're totally right. Couldn't have done it as easily in another tool, and also couldn't have shared my source file with readers otherwise.

    This was a good read as I remember people going nuts in here claiming Tesla had completely dropped the ball making you tap a few times to turn on things like windshield wipers.

    I agreed with them but the case for automation makes total sense. I think you're spot on with Tesla's vision.

      It's interesting how peeling back the layers led me to that conclusion. I still do have some concerns about a lot of the controls, but I'm not sure how they'd have done it otherwise.

      I also think a good deal of it was from an engineering standpoint, them trying to reduce the amount of components to speed up production. I think it'd be cool for someone to break it down and show if this enabled them to source from less suppliers or shorten their production line. Elon's all about reducing small inefficiencies to lead to big improvements, and I'm sure that buttons and knobs are one of those things that adds up.
