I'm trying to search for an alternative to Pinterest. I'm looking for something more visual to create mood boards without all the noise. I've looked at Dropmark which is closer to what I'm looking for but curious if there are others.

Realtimeboard is great for me. What I like is that you can crop the images and select whatever you want to focus on. It's easy to resize them and move them around. I don't think they have a web-clipper though.
Curious what you mean specifically by "noise". I know on the main feed there are ads and the like, but I find my profile to be quite easy to organize and generally feels very visually clean and satisfying compared to other options. That's my opinion though, as is the case with visual / graphic design, it's subjective.
I use Keynote. It's obviously more of a manual solution, but gives me a lot of control. I don't worry about tagging or searching. I cluster related things and create a new page as needed.
InVision's boards is a good alternative but I'm curious to see what others use too.
On a related note... Has anyone found a replacement for Ember by Realmac Software? Is iPhoto/Picasa a good way to manage mood boards on your local machine?
I've been using Pixave to replace Ember. It's been a decent replacement so far. Doesn't have all of the same features, but for grabbing/saving images, it's been pretty good. http://www.littlehj.com/mac/
