What do you use to build landing pages?

With so many options available to build landing pages, I'm curious what people and companies are using most often, and why.

Yes but painting a skyscraper with a toothbrush won't be efficient or fun.
I get the whole "It's the results not the tool" argument, but I find it's taken to a bit of an extreme amongst designers where it seems more about sticking with what you are familiar with rather than learn something new.
Is it really so crazy to say that some tools ARE better than others?
Landing Pages are not skyscrapers. They are literally one-page websites that can do in a few hours.
It's about relative scale. Yes it wouldn't take as long to paint a house as it would to paint a skyscraper with a toothbrush, but it would still take longer than using a more appropriate tool.
You skipped my actual point.
We can all learn something from The Red Green Show.
Hey Ricky, the obvious answer is don't code it. There's a set of platforms and tools that allow you to focus on getting it right and continuously iterating based on the metrics you gather. There's even specific platforms focused solely on Landing Pages / One Page websites.
Of course you can also use full-blown site builders and just do 1 page with them. In this case the list is much longer, and I don’t necessarily think Wix, Weebly or Squarespace are the only options. There’s a great number of tools you can explore, let me know if you’d like me to expand on that.
I’ll just name a few:
Pagecloud, yola, strikingly, webflow, webydo, jimdo, etc (about 1000 more) :)
Text editor, Photoshop, FTP client.
TextEdit and Cyberduck?
Textwrangler and Transmit.
Recently did my mini-site with Affinity Designer, Atom, Cyberduck. :)
HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Been a big Webflow fan from when it started early on, and they've made some incredible strides since then. Once you know what you're doing, you can mockup a nice responsive page VERY quickly and add some incredible effects. https://webflow.com/
Webflow is definitely my go-to. After putting together ideas in Sketch, it's very easy to have something production ready in no time.
Does webflow have direct integration with sketch files?
No, there's no integration. I typically just use Sketch to explore before building in Webflow.
No but you don't really need that if you have fundamental knowledge of web page structures and know how to use sketch.
If you're looking for something that supports Sketch maybe try Launchpad for Sketch: https://launchpad.animaapp.com
This has been a fantastic response! Seeing that, surprisingly, there are many designers who code in this discussion––what do you use for a/b testing, lead generation, and other conversion technologies?
I am hoping to learn more about how people use landing page services, but didn't want to lead the question too much.
Depends on requirement - long/short term, small campaign or major feature release.
For something quick and dirty, I use template editors - Wix, Unbounce etc..
Long-term feature landing pages, need more detailed work so I start with oneNote to structure it > Sketch > Launchpad/HTML+CSS+JS.
Building a new tool around it? Would love to be part of it. Open for more sharing more detailed f/b. Best of luck.
If I want to build it myself:
Atom editor + Jekyll + GitHub Pages = done
or
If I want to throw something up without coding:
carrd.co (personally not used it but looks good)
Sketch, HTML, CSS, JS, and Middleman. I want full control and very comfy with code.
If you're interested in business tools and dev frameworks, this tool might help. Just go to your favorite site, run the plugin, and it tells you what's running behind that website. https://www.whatruns.com/
Nothing fancy for me:
A designer.
Adobe CC or Sketch for layout. Wordpress with page builder like site-origin or visual composer. Offers flexibility and is less expensive then a lot of the online landing page builders.
Google docs, sketch, Wordpress, AWB server, Launchpad
For quick (hassle free) landing pages https://landingi.com
Depends on the requirements, but most of the time go with SSR React with some rest API (be it WordPress or whatever). For design, I go with Sketch. Uploading? Either I deploy the code with a custom script or use the CI suite, if the project has one.
for something quick and dirty I use "startup design framework" generator by designmodo. for other things i just code
Sublime text, PaintShop Pro, Firefox, Total Commander or Commander One (to sync remote files), github for version control.
Sublime text.
