My parents and the hole family is deaf so i see this and my heart goes boom. Finally someone had this idea. I like it very much. Accessability is way underrated this times which is sad.
This looks awesome - but the videos (I'm assuming there are videos?) don't play for me, so it's all just an image of a person smiling nicely. I stared at it for ages thinking "Does just eye contact and a smile mean "I am"?
Is the site supposed to do something after you hit ‘save’?
It just clears the form and then you can't re-enter any text.
It should navigates to a interactive tutorial that shows you gestures for your name and few other phrases in sign language.
Works in Chrome, but not in Firefox. Am I above making a joke about accessibility? Apparently not.
I utterly despise Uber but I like the direction of this. I feel like I could follow the hand positions for spelling if they were shown from the signer's perspective, but I trust they've done their homework here.
This is awesome.
