What started last year as a nifty little app to manage recurring expenses as a 20-something moving out the house, has since developed into an app being used by thousands of people every day to save money and get more insight. Today, we’re excited to announce a completely new version of Bobby!
We’re sure you’ll love all the new things in Bobby 2.0:
Download the update now for free on the App Store.
We’re here to ask any questions you have!
This looks pretty useful! Any chance of an Android release in the future?
Thanks Luke! Currently we're focussing on the iOS app, maybe in the future.
What about to integrate on macOS? at least as menu bar app
I really like this! Thanks!
Do you sell customer info to anyone?
We don't and we never will.
First time in my life I felt the need for an iPhone.
Android please!
I like all dit
Bobby is a great, simple, focused piece of software. I've used it since day 1 and intend to keep using it.
+1
It was a really good wakeup call when I first started with it. Now it helps me keep everything in check and reminds me when I need to shuffle money between accounts for upcoming bills. Maybe the only app I didn't hesitate to buy.
Right! It can be used in a number of ways, this new update paves the way for more generic use as a bills tracker rather than just for subscriptions. I see Bobby going a long way.
Reminds me of TrueBill (https://www.truebill.com/). Do you also add your credit cards so it automatically adds and identify recurring subscriptions and monitor price changes?
Hey Paul, for now we don't add credit cards but that's something we're definitely exploring for future updates.
So... do you manually add your subscriptions, or does it actually start a payment process, when I add a subscription? So it's not dynamic Data? The purpose of it is to keep track of your recurring expenses, why is it then just products? Why can't I add my rent, or my electricity bill to there? Or could you? I can see that there is some sort of add-custom-subscription functionality.
The App is free, so what of the data that I put in there are you storing / reading?
Sidenote: Great Landingpage. Easy and effective.
In the demo video, there are a few other non-products in the first view such as rent and gym.
It's funny this is being marketed as a subscription management app when this is similar to a rudimentary budget app. Which is interesting because it works on fixed expenses, not the thousand paper cuts that is every day spending.
You can add your rent or electricity bill. I did so!
Never knew I needed this... until now :D
Best landing page ever...
Get back on Dribbble ;)
Nice colors
Been there, done that, now i am here...
Future request: add housemates :)
Is this a direct rip-off of Billy?

Or are you the same company?
This is the same product! Due to legal reasons we had to change the name from 'Billy' into 'Bobby' last year, but the same people are still working on the app :)
May I ask what legal reasons?
Probably conflicting with https://billyapp.com
This looks really great. Unfortunately it takes a lot of work to enter in manually all my subscriptions. I have quite a few. One solution for this is to connect your inbox to the app and have the app scan through it and finding subscriptions. It should be totally doable and that’s a feature worth paying for.
Hey Luke, thanks for the suggestion. We're always looking for ways to make entering subscriptions easier, so we'll write it down and see what we can do.
Nice - Hplcco
Seems neat! One very glaring problem I'm having is I cant switch my default currency anywhere in the app? Perhaps I missed something.
