Pocket Casts Web Player v2

Hey all!

For the last 6-12 months we've been busy working on this huuuge update to our Pocket Casts Web Player. We've completely redesigned and rebuilt the product from the ground up, it's faster and full of new features like a companion mac app, Up Next queue and a new dark theme.

I'm really excited to finally share the beta and start getting some feedback, especially from any other big podcast nerds here in the DN community.

    Been using Pocket Casts on Android/Android Auto for some time and more recently in the web player. Glad to see the ongoing efforts!

    Easily one of my favorite apps, such an elegant user experience.

    Feels like Spotify with the dark UI, but I'm not complaining ;)

    Would've loved to see more process, new vs old, specific call outs to improvements, etc.

    I use the web player daily and have been wondering for a while if you had stopped developping it. This new version looks really nice. Thanks a lot Chris and team!

    Super nice work.

    Are you dynamically pulling the color values from the podcast artwork and using it as the accent color on the controls?

    PS, I use the app on my phone, and chose it simply because it was the nicest looking app. Thanks for all the work.

      Thanks Yen! Yeah we pull the colour from the artwork, most of the time it works well but occasionally we end up with some "questionable" colours. Still working on it ;)

    Hey Guys, I love Pocket Casts! The new design is pretty rad, but where are my stars? Also, the desktop app isn't working for me (10.11.6).
