    Another year another article from Viticci where he lists everything that would basically turn iOS into OS X because the reality is using an iPad as your full time work machine (even as a blogger) is dumb and ridiculous yet he will keep pretending it's actually good no matter how many hoops he has to jump through to make it happen.

      This doesn't turn iOS into MacOS, it makes iOS a more robust system on the iPad. I'm guessing you don't use an iPad or you might have found many of these frustrations of his somewhat relatable. For instance, I was dumbfounded to see recently that there was no way to grab a photo from the photos app and move it to my iCloud drive on the iPad. I had to go to my MBP to perform said task. The finder feature he mentions would eliminate this as an issue altogether.

        You know the history of this guy right?

        He insists on working only on an iPad then writes a wishlist article every year where he asks for multitasking, drag and drop and file management features you see on real operating systems.

          Yes, I'm well aware of who this guy is. I also stand by my argument that these improvements don't turn iOS into MacOS either. They simply improve the functionality of iOS for iPad users. Where is the downside?

          And what the hell is with the comment about "real operating systems"? Last I checked iOS was a "real operating system" that simply lacked some features given its use on tablet devices.

      The point of these is to put into perspective the lack of interface development on the iOS platform, specifically for iPad. It's a product that is woefully under-differentiated from its phone counterpart.
