Bookmarklet to make your life easier:
javascript:(function()%7Bwindow.location.href %3D 'https%3A%2F%2Foutline.com%2F' %2B window.location.href%7D)()
Edit: To use it, make a new bookmark, copy and paste the code above into the URL portion, and name it whatever you want. Now, when you're on a webpage you wanna Outline-ify, just click the bookmark.
Saw this on reddit—thought I'd share.
Works like this:
hold on... so it circumvents logins as well? That's amazing! I would never have logged in to read that full story on the WSJ website
This thing getting around the paywalls is legit.
At first I thought this was a project by Joshua Topolsky's The Outline.
Considering how strange that site is, I thought it was even stranger that they built a tool to reduce clutter.
works great for their website :P
Cool! Thanks for sharing.
Is this similar to Mercury Reader extension? https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mercury-reader/oknpjjbmpnndlpmnhmekjpocelpnlfdi
Love this extension! I would also love to see Outline as an extension or even as bookmark tool. Copy and pasting is two too many steps for me lol
Yes. this site badly needs to be a bookmarklet tool rather than a website. It is too much work to copy and paste the url.
Nice find though.
I made a chrome extension myself for Instaparser (R.I.P) and then for Mercury before this one came out. You can check out the open source code on Github if you are interested: https://github.com/mblode/read-now
i think i like Outline better? it's very slightly more tedious to use, but it gets around paywalls. even the Wall Street Journal's somehow. and the ability to share the readable article is very nice.

I understand that people like it , but the reality it that it is copyright infringement. If people would do it with your graphical work , i don't think you would appreciate it
Doesn't work for me.
Well, give an example?
