I would like to share with you a podcast about design and technology in Spanish that we just started called Diseño Cha Cha Cha. In each episode, we offer the mic to those that regularly don't have it and allow them to tell their story and share a bit about what it's like to work in the tech industry.

Our goal is to let other Latinos know that there are people just like them— with similar beginnings—working in this industry. To know it's not some impossible dream to follow a career in something you love and that, if they want, we're here waiting for them to come to help us solve some of the toughest design challenges.

We decided to make this podcast in Spanish so that you— the design student that is just starting in Caracas, or the professional that is struggling in Veracruz, or the discouraged dreamer in Bogotá, could hear other voices like yours—speaking the same language, with similar backgrounds, on this side of the border. Regardless of what you hear in our political climate, this industry needs more diversity. From the smallest startups to the biggest companies, there is an effort to connect individuals around the world, and these places need people like you to represent their global communities. Hopefully, this podcast encourages you to follow a career in something you love, wherever you are

Hola, amigos diseñadores!

Quiero compartir con ustedes un podcast sobre diseño y tecnología que acabamos de empezar llamado Diseño Cha Cha Cha. En cada episodio le queremos ofrecer el micrófono a aquellos que regularmente no lo tienen para que cuenten su historia y compartan un poco de lo que es trabajar en la industria de tecnología.

Queremos que otros hispanos sepan que hay gente justo como ellos, con unos inicios similares, trabajando en esta industria. Que sepan que no es un sueño imposible seguir una carrera en algo que amas hacer y que, si gustan, estamos aquí esperándolos a que vengan a ayudarnos a resolver unos de los problemas de diseño más difíciles.

Decidimos hacer el podcast en español. Queremos que tú, el estudiante de diseño que apenas va empezando en Caracas, o la profesional batallando en Veracruz, o el soñador desilusionado en Bogotá, escuchen gente hablando tu mismo idioma, con una historia similar, en este lado de la frontera. A pesar de todo lo que escuchas en nuestro clima político, esta industria necesita más diversidad—las compañías más grandes. tratando de conectar individuos alrededor del mundo, necesitan gente como tú que representen las comunidades globales. Ojalá, este podcast te anime a seguir una carrera en algo que amas, dondequiera que estés.
