Today we're launching Slinky – an experimental Sketch plugin that lets you export artboards as HTML email templates.

I'm one of those who wanted to commit suicide after trying to code a responsive html email that works everywhere. Yes even those Outlooks that use MS Word html rendering engine.
Frameworks like, MJML and Foundation For Emails are still my biggest friends. Actually Zurb have a playground for responsive HTML emails named: Slinky. tan tan tan
My feedback is: in a mobile world, your exemple is not responsive, despite the fact that is a single column template. You should think about adding some resets to your table elements (making them block and max-width 100% using media queries now that gmail supports them, or using the fab-four technique™).

Great to see more people trying to make this happen! It worked fine with a simple file. Sadly, the plugin didn't work with a complicated file, but I'm sure it will only get better. Keep it up, guys. Excited to see where you take this!

Pablo, did you mark those illustrations as exportable? (insert thinking face emoji here) As mentioned on Slinky GitHub page you have to individually mark them as exportable, otherwise Slinky is trying to convert them into tables.
Could you try to do this again? It would be interesting to see the results :)
Thanks for the recommendation. You're right, there were some improvements. I made the illustrations exportable so now they're rendered as images instead of divs. The rest still looks weird. Maybe it's because I'm using symbols? Again, thanks :)
Yeah, symbols could cause some issues. There is a lot of room for improvements but this is just the beginning.
This looks great! But can I ask how well the templates perform under Litmus test, and what kind of layouts it can support?
We just ran some tests on Litmus and the templates look as expected on all the devices (phew). Slinky exports the design in a table layout, so the layout possibilities are limited to that. Please keep in mind that this is an early experiment and you can contribute to make it better by reporting issues or code improvements on GitHub.

Yes! it is hard to create the html email templates and would also be responsive as well. We as design agency in new york have a team of professionals and their core responsibility is Develop responsive email templates. Looking forward.
Wow! this is amazing. Just tried it and it works very nicely :) It would indeed be nice to have some way to make it responsive eventually, maybe using different artboards or something?
Anyways, looks like i'm going to be using this more often.
