I started to use raindrop.io a while ago and I am pretty satisfied with the product. You can easily import or export your bookmarks, create collections, tags etc. !

You should take a look at Pinboard. Its simple, reliable and you can choose to use 3rd party apps that support its API if you want more tailored experience.

I personally use it as massive reference board for anything I find useful online so that all I have to remember is tag structure I use to find it.

Its not free, but why should it be when you literally pay for it to exist.

I know I am a different beast but, the best bookmark manager I've ever used is Google search. I have many links but I don't pay attention to them. Eventually I save some, but I never check them anymore. Anyone has the same behavior?

Am I the only one using Google Bookmarks? Free and supports tagging, all I need.

Depends on what you're using it for. But this is what I've settled on:

• Dropmark. It's strength is saving snippets and visual inspiration. I also have raindrop.io which is a great option. I used both against each other and ended up signed up for Dropmark last year because at the time it was an easier to use solution.
• Pinboard (using the mac client Spillo). If you're just bookmarking websites, it's hard to beat the simplicity of this. It doesn't have any visual listing view like the others, but it's a solid option for keeping a reference/library of resources.

I am building a small bookmaking/read-later tool called Email This. It lets you save main text and images (no ads or clutter) from an article to your email inbox. You can create automatic labels/filters in your email client to organize the incoming bookmarks.

I've had users saying that they use Email This for things that they want to read in the short term (maybe in a couple of days) and Pocket for saving things that they might need sometime in the future.

if you use Slack, you definitely should try Paperbot. It's not exactly a bookmark manager, but it is awesome to discovery.

I have tried raindrop, and others, and keep coming back to instapaper. As a designer I thought I'd love the image led UI of raindrop, but ulitimately I find it distracting. Not that Pinterest bought instapaper, the pro features like search are free for all.

Hey there, I can recommend tool for managing a lot of bookmarks, resources and discovering. It’s Bubblehunt - search platform where you can create own search system for this things. This service automatically indexed page, get relevant results from your information space, delete duplicates and non-active urls.

I also use http://getstache.com/ - does the trick for my needs. I wish it was a little more "connected" - it's currently Mac-only. Ideally I'd like my bookmarking app to have a web app too.

Sounds like raindrop is well worth a look.

A friend and I recently made a Chrome Extension with a Web UI that will take a screenshot of the site you'd like to bookmark and adds it to a public feed so that even if you don't re-engage in your "bookmarked" content, other people on a similar discovery path can do.
