Portfolio code examples.

over 6 years ago from , Graphic Design student.

Hey guys.

I've been studying HTML and CSS and Sass for about 6 months now and I am starting to design my portfolio/personal site, which I plan to do everything myself, design and code.

I already bought a domain, thanks to DN Deals, and hosted on GitHub Pages. However I never did a proper website with multiple pages and content and whatnot; all I did was a homepage to practice.

Anyways, I was wondering, do you have some portfolio examples on GitHub to share? I would be grateful to be able to learn by looking at the combo design + code.

What type of portfolio site are you looking for?

    Animations? Static? Flat? Skeuomorphism?

You can do a ton of stuff with HTML and CSS so it depends really what you wanna do :)

Hey, Joacim, thanks for the reply!

I would like to see if I need to use some CMS to build a simple site with a homepage, contact page and a page for every project I have. (In my case, if I need to use Jekyll).

        Okey!

Same for CMS it really depends on what you wanna do. Are you going to post work often and will the presentation of the work be unique everytime?

I would recommend you to design the pages you need and then build them simply using an HTML file and CSS. Then when that's done you could transform the parts you need for the CMS.

        Here are a few options.

You could also use Blocs if you have Mac to create some of the parts really fast.
