Framer.com has a brand new look! There are no pages that were left untouched. Everything has been updated, refined or completely overhauled. The frontpage is much simpler, the new feature pages showcase our amazing features, there's an all new examples section and improved performance accross the board.

I find the intro video/animation too fast and hard to watch. Coudn't really concentrate and understand what was shown. Everything was just playing at ultra speed.

Yeah, I felt the same. The timing and musical cues are great and I think the content was on point but the slides are just too quick. I'd have watched another 15 seconds maybe.

I don't get why the Framer guys won't get rid of the coding aspect and go full UI?

It would certainly up their adoption rate. Designers use prototyping tools because they don't want to code, or else they be better off prototyping natively. This halfway approach is ??!

Framer has auto-code for that. If you don't want any code, Principle. If you want visual code, then use Origami.

I certainly like to code as a designer.

Offering Framer's level of limitless control is insanely complex with a GUI. To allow GUI input, it's almost necessary to give up some freedom. It's just a really difficult problem to solve, one that I've worked on for years.

The guys at Framer are obviously working on it and they're closing the gap nicely imo. The next few years will be interesting.

Framer is the best tool out there when it comes to smooth interacton animations but anyway if you're in complicated animations you don't want miss After Effects.
