Hello guys, I collected a list of scripts that I think everybody who uses InDesign should know and use – and I would love to share it with you. Of course, if you have any other scripts in mind that you think should be mentioned, feel free to suggest them
Awesome, thank you! finally a post that isn't about product design.
What do you specifically mean about product design? To me, product design is the sum of many disciplines.
perhaps i should have said - finally something that IS for print designers.
Is InDesign still being used?
For print and signage materials, yea. I'm waiting for Affinity Publisher to come out so I can leave Adobe altogether.
YES! i can't wait for publisher, already moved all my personal and freelance work to Designer/Photo(+Polarr), Publish would let me ditch adobe all together.
Hear ya. For me, the hurdle of succumbing to Adobe is not an option which have led me to further explore what's out there — and the future looks bright.
Our team uses it all the time. That being said we do a fair bit of print material. We're fully in the CC environment, but I don't know of anything that would rival it if we weren't.
What's the alternative?
I'd say none. At least InDesign looks like the only solution, unfortunately
Gotcha. Haven't done print in a long time and if I by any chance have hade requests of something print related, the Affinity apps have replaced the CC suite.
yes, all the time if you do anything in print/layout. there aren't any stable alternatives yet.
