Everything is really nice!
One suggestion though. There is absolutely no need for a hamburger menu when you only have three pages on your site. Get rid of the extra click and flatten it out when viewing on mobile.
I don't know if it's just my Internet connection, but I am having trouble loading the content for the individual pages. I just get a white space. Here is a video demo.
Also, immediately after I ended the video demo, I got the following error:
502 Bad Gateway vPPr7J1B/5JD2Pg8Z @ Mon, 09 Jan 2017 21:35:38 GMT
Nice work, man! I just did the same thing with my portfolio site in 2017 on Squarespace:
I love the simplicity and focus of your site.
Looks great Jonny!
Obligatory: copyright year
I'm not personally a fan of the left-pull approach but I do like the way the navigation transitions take place, works extremely well on my mac.
Overall it's a nice platform and a site base. I enjoyed the mobile view as well but wasn't in love with the spacing of the navigation on my phone, it felt a little too cramped given the amount of overall space.
As a whole though I do like the site
Looks great Jonny :)
Nice!
Is it built on top of something or you coded the whole thing?
Hey thanks Pedro! I have it running on squarespace with some custom css
Let me guess how it looks without opening your site: Probably some sort of dominant "hello, I'm..." thing at the top with big typo and lot of whitespace. Tiny navigation at the top right (About, Work, Contact), next up: few big ass photos of your work, without any description (I will need to go to detail, probably no visual above the fold and some nice copy above it), next up... actually, no, I'm bored already and I close the imaginary tab.
How much am I correct?
Spot on! Enjoying your day I hope?
I have to admit, I was bored a bit so I came to DN... back to work! :)
You must be fun at parties.
Absolutely
Robin, your site is looking really really great too. ;)
Yes, I think it works well for what's supposed to do. I don't need a portfolio.
