Man, I love the buttery smoothness and subtle animations as text appears/disappears.
Glad you like it!:)
Love that fade in/blur effect. How did you manage that?
Hey! Just simple CSS stylings, filter:blur(); and opacity together with transitions.
On the desktop version we also added a JS function to check on cursor position relative to the image when hovering, in order to move the image and text.
We've open source'd everything, so if you are interested you can dive right into the code at Github!
Awesome!
Very crisp, nice one!
Thank you!:)
Hey guys! First time posting here...
As designers and developers we are exposed to great design from all over the world every day, and we wanted to collect and display our favourite items in a deserving way. The result is a curated feed that celebrates well designed objects in a simple and gallery-esque way, that can take you directly to the retailer with a single click.
For this first version we tried to keep the number of features down as much as possible (It's more like... 1 feature now – the actual feed) just to get it out the door and launch it. We'll hopefully add more stuff such as Categories as we go along.
Have a scroll and tell us what you think!

Nice collection and I really liked the cursor.
It took me awhile to understand what the site is about, actually I wouldn't get it if I wouldn't click on you logo. I'd suggest having an intro text on top. Plus the text didn't appear unless I moved the mouse into the picture, and that was confusing for a second too. I would tie the transitions to the scroll rather than hover. That would solve the problem on mobile too
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! We intentionally kept it understated in order to retain the focus on the images/products. We chose to add a double tap for touch devices due to the lack of hover, that way we don't force too much effects through the scroll listeners either.
Lovely!
Thanks!!
Hover fade effect means you can't even look at the objekts properly
