So here's a Dribbble share. About an interesting field of work; map design. It's something little of us ever touch. Could be interesting!
But you just share one dribbble shot, with just the context of "playing around" and a 400x300 image. What are we supposed to say? Wow those mountain shades are amazing?
You could've formatted your post a bit more like this:
He guys and girls,
I am like totally in love with map design. Seriously, I have a map above my bed and my bed sheets also have a map. I was wondering if any of you share this obsession!
In order to get better at making maps, I have been experimenting a bit with creating custom maps with [insert tool]. My latest experiment involves getting a better view of [random mountain]. I have also experimented with [insert a set of links to maps].
Has anyone here ever created custom maps? What was your goal? Did it go well? Oh, and I am running a meetup in my hometown about Maps. Feel free to sign up!
Anyway, I think your map is not special and you poorly explain what your intent is. You are playing around with shaders, and say you want to get better at custom map design. Right now, you are only getting better at custom map styling. Why don't you create something interactive like "The 10 most interesting mountains you have never heard of"? This way you'll have a story to tell.
I don't get it
It's a map.
