I may be in the minority here, but that yellow text on the green background hurts my eyes. :/
I could tell that you were inspired by a site in this style, but very beautifully made - so beautiful that you couldn't pull it off yourself and came up with this crap.
At least work on your color combination skill, jeez.
Edit: Damn that mouse click effect and default bootstrap modal.
Calm down
I don't disagree with your points but there's no need to be super rude x
I'm not going to critique your visual design. The thing that disturbs me the most, is that your site does not have a single route. I cannot link to your projects or sections of your site individually.
Also I wouldn't suggest using self-closing tags in html5, its obsolete or in a few cases wrong.
I think it would be more effective to use thumbnails to give a preview of your projects. It gives people more reason to click something and gives more of a feel of your work.
Someone who is looking to hire you may only spend a few seconds on your site if they don't see anything that grabs their attention. Make it easier to get a sense of your work up front.
Try using some navigation so people can find what they are looking for. If I'm looking to hire for video production, I would have to hunt for it.
Putting aesthetics aside, I feel that your colors overpower and distract from your work examples. A lot of your work is brightly colored and it competes for dominance with your site design. If you have a more neutral colors your work will stand out more.
I can't say that I am a fan of this. The colors really bother me; they make it difficult to read text. And that on-click effect is driving me nuts.
Hurts my eyes :V
