Mine looks like a bunch of products that have never shipped.
I feel your pain.
Can we see?
Here is mine. mickaelmarq.github.io
really nice!
Flat design is not dead yet!
Was a lot better than I was expecting it to be.
Not suggesting you're a bad developer or anything, just caught me off guard the quality of the contents on the site for some reason.
Woah, really impressive. Congrats!
Love it! Only thing I'd like to see is maybe a way to expand images/view full product. But looks awesome!
Really digging the draggable slideshows.
Love it!
It doesn't look like anything to me
Portfolio category on siteInspire might help.
Thanks. Some companies requiring portfolio,I found most people making PDF including small info about them and works. Any website I can check how they do that?
Big fan of SiteInspire for inspiration.
While there's some crossover, httpster is also a favorite.
I also just star Site Design posts that I like here on Designer News.
Commenting for later
Mine is gabewill.com.
After putting off for years, I finally decided to just put up a Squarespace site. Maybe one day I'll have the time to build something custom. :)
gabe won't.
Sorry, could help myself. Probably so unoriginal to you but I just couldn't not.
Don't worry, I've heard them all. ;)
This made me smile :)
I really like your project thumbnails– excellent use of color. Nice job talking through the design projects too.
Thanks Josiah!
High res picture of my face and a list of my medium articles
I can't tell if this is satire :/
Here are a few tips:
create case studies not image galleries. While the end results of a project may look really good, displaying them with little to no information about who the client is, what problems you tried to solve and what your solutions were, what your process was and, if possible, what impact your work had on the client's company, diminishes the value of the project in client's eyes.
focus on the absolute best work. While it's true that each project may have some good parts, uploading 50 projects will make you look like a production line designer rather than a specialist. On our website we chose 5 projects to focus on and pointed people to creative networks like behance and dribbble for more.
mine is C-14
uhhh... love it.
this is mine - https://crazydesigns.co.uk/
Your link to 'Virgin Experience Days' doesn't work. Chrome, iMac latest versions. Nice work though dude!
Mine's super old and in need of a re-design but still holding in there ... one day! http://www.adhamdannaway.com/
Very similar to http://kylemeyer.com
Case studies only really.
This isn't loading :-(.
I don't know why. What OS/Browser are you using?
It seems to only work if you add www in front of the URL, at least for me.
Thanks! I will try to fix it.
Mine looks like this: http://agrawalravi.com
I'm not really a designer per se, but here goes... jackmarksthomas.github.io
My portfolio is mainly based on my photography and videography/directing/editing work at santifox.com I'm running it on Cargocollective as I was invited years ago. It's been a good platform and really simple to upload content to. Not that good in making a stellar experience, but it works.
Then I've been uploading my daytime work into Behance as it never really fit my portfolio in a good way.
I've also started building a new site on http://visualsbysanti.a2hosted.com/semplice but it's really a work in progress and nothing is done on it. I keep building it and changing different things. Last night I worked on the navigation and remade it for the 5th time, also just trying to figure out how to make the best of it before hiring a developer to help me out in animating and making it into what I'd really like.
It's an endless project really.... And it's tricky to add work that's UX/UI, Art direction, Photography and Video.. All different but made by the same person. Any help or review, please contact me through hello@santi.fi or twitter @thesanti or whatever :)
Mine's currently a WIP but here...
I just refreshed mine recently, still some bits to add but pretty pleased with it:
I've just recently set up with Semplice - www.rhysmerritt.com
This is mine http://rizqi.im. Feedback are welcome! :)
I wouldn't use a photo unless you can see who you are. Or it has some sort of creative interactive element to it. Now I'm not sure why it's pixelated.
Ah it has been 11 months ago. Yes you are right! Thank you so much for the feedback.
Just update my portfolio site: ymcheung.tw.
Would like to hear any suggestions :)
Here is mine: http://philllip.com/
I decided against one. I wanted to have a list of projects I was part of instead. thomassemmler.com
Not really up to date, so I have an urge to redesign it about once a month.
I'm a design student and just started putting my portfolio together. Would love feedback on either the portfolio design itself or the individual projects. Trying to really showcase process throughout. http://www.josiahtullis.com/portfolio/
mine is filled with a bunch of writing about how I solved the problem...might be too heavy of a read but seemed to have gotten me a job just fine :) www.becca.li
Just updated mine: www.allanjyu.com
I don't do much coding in general so redoing my portfolio was a fun side quest. Would love some feedback! I'm also looking around for new opportunities, so holler.
Mine is just a bunch of designs with no explanation into the thought behind it. At most I'll write a small blurb about the company and that's about it. Oh wait...
Here's mine - https://rodmatveev.com
Here's mine from late 2012 when I was focused on visual/UI design:
http://firstnamejohnson.com/older
I'm working on a new portfolio now to showcase more Product/UX/Interaction work I've done the last few years.
Here's mine: https://aslittledesign.com/
Here's mine. Nothing special. I use semplice and could add more customization but...I have yet to make time to. http://unlikeyou.com
Built with Jekyll & Bootstrap
Mine is one huuuuuge case study :O http://nenadmilosevic.co
Designed and developed by myself, but no recent projects were updated.
I would like to know what everyone uses to host their portfolio? And if you guys built them yourselves?
I think a lot of people use AWS. otherwise, bluehost, justhost, siteground... anything works. If you mean frameworks, use (www.builtwith.com) to figure it out. a lot of people hand code theirs (myself included) and others use wordpress + semplice.
Yeah, seems pretty common to use wordpress, but would love to hand code mine. Haven't heard too much about Semplice, might check it out.
I hand coded mine, but its more of a resumé. Semplice is fantastic but I chose not to use it. I would check it out if I were you
For me, GitHub Pages makes the most sense. SSL included, It's free, and faster than 99% of hosts.
I just use dribbble, easier to maintain.
Here is mine if it helps stefantheofilos.me
check top design portfolios right here: http://www.uxdesigner.top
I put a short 'tagline' on each page http://jowin.co/
I think it should highlight what you want to do and your motivation to do it. I decided to redo my portfolio because I'm in transition of jobs now, but my last position really improved my client communication. My main focus for the redesign is to highlight problems I solved working with clients, as opposed to just showing standalone hi-res visuals (which is what my previous site looked like).
You can find inspiration for aesthetic anywhere, so I'd suggest you first find a good balance that shows how you identify problems, steps you take to address them, and your finished work.
Hope this helps!
I've made case studies at the core of my portfolio. Check it out at http://ashrafali.net
I try to be simple http://www.karmaorange.com
Here's mine http://kura.sh/
I'm focusing on enterpreneurs and small startups
Built with basic HTML/CSS/JS
like something I created in a brief period of downtime a long time ago, and have failed to keep regular updated.
I'm proud of the work on there, but not proud enough of the way I have documented it to share it.
Intended to be browsed with me (in person) but I'd like to think that it still gives an idea.
Some Site show site portfolio like this
http://www.orioninfosolutions.com/orioninfosolutions/portfolio.php
Maybe also Semplice Lab Showcase might help.
