Looking v similar to Mindsparkle Mag
Yes I heard that from someone else too, I don't really see anything so similar other than few widely common use of header or again widely common use of some grid parts among countless websites.
I tell you what that site is very similar to https://northernlighting.no though
Bit of early feedback.. Tapping on a website here http://minimalstuff.com/category/websites/ - should open that website in a new page maybe? That was my expectation..
Hi Rhys thanks! It links to post page as I share screenshots of best parts of the website instead of just linking to url. as in http://minimalstuff.com/websites/florian-monfrini/ and you can visit website from post pages.
It quite misleading - it's not clear that this curated list is not your own work. It simply looks like a designers/design agencies portfolio.
I get that the credits are given in the detail pages but most ppl simply don't read.
Thanks for the feedback mate. I'm not sure how it would be more clear though, I clearly promote it as Inspiration website, not portfolio.
How do you think it would be more clear? Maybe a line in the header? That would go against its clean approach though...
I do love the clean aesthetic and adding more copy could spoil this but perhaps:
adding the source under each title (especially on the homepage) would certainly help.
a teeny tiny positioning statement under the logo might also help
The site looks great but I feel the 'beautifully curated' aspect of it all could be emphasised a little more!
noted. cheers
But:
The homepage never mentions Oykun
The about page clearly states that it's a collection of things
The site title is "minimalstuff.com" which is pretty self explanatory
Oykun promotes it as a curated list of other people's work.
There's both no intention to be misleading, no clear misleading things like having his name on the home page, and deliberate effort to market it as a curated list.
It looks like a portfolio. Is laid out like a portfolio. Flows from page to page like a portfolio.
There is something about it making lots of people think it looks like someone claiming it as their own work. I wonder what it could be?
Hey all, I just released http://minimalstuff.com
As a designer, I love viewing other designers’ inspiring works from any type and form, we all do. In this matter, I’d always been puzzled with visiting multiple websites for different type of designs. So I made this website to gather all those different type of designs into a single place and share with you all.
How is it different? You can read about it at http://minimalstuff.com/about/
Enjoy minimalstuff.com and feel free to share with others.
Yours truly, Oykun
Nice work Oykun. Best of luck with this venture :)
Thanks mate! this is my first venture :) that's why it is more special :)
Logo and some ideas are veeeeery similar to Minimalissimo.
This is what crossed in my first time visiting the site. It's the logo :\ http://d.pr/i/cxQX But good luck for the side project my friend! :)
Nevermind. He changed it.
I didn't say that Oykun steal/ copy minimalismo logo. I just pointed its similarity that caught in my mind first time saw it. Regarding same ideas, it's completely fine having same ideas for products.

Good stuff. I used to go to minimalsites.com all the time for inspiration. Are you familiar? https://web.archive.org/web/20120401130933/http://www.minimalsites.com/
