Hey DN!
I was curious to find out what chrome extensions the community uses the most. We all have our preferences of color-pickers, responsive web resizers, etc.. So, I wanted to get an idea and a few recommendations to see if there are any better extensions out there than the ones I already use.
List yours below, so we can all compare :)
An Ad Blocker hands down. Other plugins are optional while an ad blocker is required.
Let me chip in then by saying uBlock Origin is by far the best adblocker out there. AdBlock and AdBlock+ is not what they lead you to believe.

I stopped using Ad Blockers about two years ago. They kill the performance of all web browsers. If you really want to stop ads, just modify your /etc/hosts[1] file and point all of the spam ad sites to 0.0.0.0. You block literally everything without forcing your browser to do any thinking. Plus half of the ad blockers have backdoor whitelists[2] where advertisers pay to have their trackers ad ads unblocked.

uBlock Origin and 1Password are mandatory for my browsing experience.
I also use ZenHub and Postman for work and Reddit Enhancement Suite for Reddit.

I use Slack every day and got fed up of having to switch back to Slack every time I wanted to share a link, so I wrote my own extension to do exactly that!
I've found it useful, maybe you will too.
Other than that, Eyedropper, Ghostery and Instapaper are my go-tos.
For development, the Redux Chrome Extension and Ember Inspector are indispensable if you work with those technologies.

Droplr AdBlock LastPass
+1 on Pesticide. I use it daily.
Vimium is a life-changer when it comes to using Chrome without the mouse. Coupled with Alfred, I only touch the mouse 10% of the time.
SurfingKeys is another option which requires a bit more configuration.
Also, uBlock Origin >> AdBlock.
