Would seriously consider altering the copy on the main landing page. 'Collect all of your customer data and send it anywhere' immediately made made my 'keep my data private!' alarms fire off. Love the page design though!
Good call! Hopefully for people like analysts, PMs, and marketing folk it will read differently. But I'll dig into it.
As someone who isn't directly an analyst, PM, or marketing person, but still influences decisions like this, the wording is extremely off putting—but great design though!
There design before this was a lot more engaging through their branding. Seems like a huge step back.
Good product still though. Agree with earlier copy changes around privacy.
There is no focus indicator on some of your navigation links.
Congrats, really like the clean & simple design! Also, love the way HTML/CSS/Layout is structured under the skin :)!
You guys followed the same naming conventions for both CSS components & layout grid-system that I prefer to use.
Anthony, you think you could share a little of some of those technical decisions you guys made for the front-end? Which grid-system, conventions for CSS components & namings, the layout utils framework, anything would be awesome for others to learn :P
Good job!
Everything is good except scrooling.
Beautiful work, Anthony! Congrats to you and your team!
Completely broken with an ad blocker running.
Hmmm unfortunately the Segment domain is blocked because you can use us to send data to things like Facebook Ads, so that could it why. 'll check it out and see if there's something else going on. Thanks for the tip!
I didn't ready the copy, but the design is awesome. Can't think of anything bad right now. It's very clean, but yet not boring.
Really dig this. Subtle patterns, animations, and iconography. Great balance amongst page elements too.
Looks nice. But if there was a navigator it would be great.
Love it. Bookmarked under "Pretty websites".
Hmm, the hamburger menu doesn't work on iOS Chrome.
Looks great! I'm curious about the thought process behind commissioning custom Segment fonts. What drove you guys away from using a similar and existing typeface?
We actually didn't commission a custom font, it's just Circular Std. I'm assuming you're looking at our font stack in the CSS, this was just an internal way of referencing our fonts and was helping make sure we were loading the font during early development instead of using the installed font, it's nothing special
Thanks for the answer. Now I feel a bit silly haha
While it looks nice, scrolling certainly does not feel nice.
Woah. Where is that happening? I hate jank scrolling. .
Glad to hear! I've been playing for the last 10 minutes and I absolutely cannot reproduce what was happening this morning. I guess I'll chalk it up to something being funky on my end.
If it pops up again, I'm running Firefox 50 on Linux.
