Really curious to see how this plays out in the long-term. Overall, "joining" a larger company means that service will be gone in 6-12 months.
Bummer too, because I love Instapaper and have been using it for... I don't know how long.

    Looking at their website, it seems like Betaworks (whom used to own Instapaper) is more focused on having a collection of products rather than a singular service. In the case of Betaworks it seems like Instapaper was valuable to them the way they were. Pinterest on the other hand…

  Take a look at Pocket, I’ve been using them for years now. Never got along with Instapaper.

Seeing that Instapaper will most likely fade out in the long term, one thing I'll miss from any replacement is their unsurpassed use of typography.
