Damn one of my latest projects uses the transform technique all around and sometimes can be a pain to align when is dynamic content.
:+1: for this!
Same here! The transform technique is hard to maintain and not easy to change or update, the writing-mode is more dynamic. Thanks Renato :)
This is pretty cool!
It gave me an idea, so I played around with a way to have vertically- and horizontally-centered content here.
Wow this is clever! I will add the demo to the article if you don't mind :)
Of course!
Thanks! Just added your demo link.
You sneaky snake!
This is tight. Though it doesn't maintain center position if the window changes height. It just sticks to the initial center. Still cool though!
It seems to work OK if you drag up from the bottom, but not down from the top. I haven't done my due diligence in testing, but it could be that it's just a Codepen quirk.
Intriguing! I bet there this opens up quite a few possibilities, I need to play with this.
Yes I'm sure there are a lot of interesting use cases for this technique, hope that more people will share about it. Thanks Dan :)
That is really cool. I'm going to start trying this out. Thank you.
My pleasure, Bevan! Thank you too :)
What a find.
Ohhhhh, interesting! Any risks in using this for layout when it's meant for text?
Good point! I tried playing with it but didn't find it suitable to do so. Not 100% sure of the side effects to be honest. Anyways, I will do my best to update the article with that. Thanks Mattan :)
