I love this logo but it still drives me insane. I get that you are trying to center “THINGS” under “STRANGER”… but dude, you need to optically center it so it doesn’t look like the “S” in “THINGS” is rammed up against the “R” in “STRANGER” and having all that awkward negative space between the “S” in “STRANGER” and the “T” in “THINGS.”
What has been seen cannot be unseen.
hahaha
Oh, the curse of being a graphic designer.
It's something I can't unsee either, but now that someone else has brought it up... Given the attention to detail and quality of the show, and the content more importantly, I wonder if it's intended to make us uneasy?
the way the serifs don't line up between the S & T in "STRANGER" has bothered me to no end. still, we're fun at parties, right?
Though surprisingly not presented in the article, it seems to be a pretty obvious analog to the typography on the original "Needful Things" cover.
I haven't started this yet, but reading/watching this really caught my attention. Such a beautiful sequence. The two notes from 0:39-0:41 where the horizontal bars unveil is magical. :)
Slow starter but stick with it, it gets exponentially better for every episode after second or third.
Which is why I've watched or listened to this 10 minute loop of the title sequence several times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpHNlx0pPIU
I'm surprised people haven't noticed the similarities to Tron's music. It would fit right into the soundtrack.
Stranger Things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpHNlx0pPIU vs Tron Legacy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HitDB-Be_74&list=RDvlEN8svyHj8&index=2
Not mentioned, but noticed. I enjoy both soundtracks.
The typography of the title sequence is great, yes, but there are a few instances of them using modern typography (Gotham, Cambria) in several scenes in the show, which always grinds my gears.
But other than that, the show is perfect.
