So... We now showing squarespace themes on DN?
...I had no idea.
yup, pretty obviously squarespace
"Défoncé" means "stoned". It's a very colloquial term (maybe a better translation would be "high as fuck"), so it's pretty funny to contrast that with the overall tone of the identity!
Haha, that's pretty sweet! No pun intended. :P
“California’s finest cannabis-infused chocolates”
The name fits
Really nice design! I'd love to get my hands on a bar or three!
On my first skim I didn't see that there was Cannabis involved in this product. It was only when I went to the Find section and saw the heading "Dispensaries" that everything clicked and I went back and looked at everything again.
Maybe that's the whole point. It's pretty cool to see people leaning away from the traditional aesthetics that you'd expect. Super clean.
The package design, photos & art direction are lovely & on point! I think the website would be more effective without the parallax effect, though.
I also didn't realize until the bottom of the second paragraph that there might be cannabis in the chocolates! I assumed for the first 5 minutes that it was purely a fancy chocolatier. I think having that information either in headline or clearly illustrated in the photography / design would help ease that confusion.
I think I'm also missing a tiny bit of irreverence here -- I always want a little dose of whimsy or fun with any cannabis-related product, but that's a personal thing and I understand if the aim of this brand is purely luxury.
Generally quite OK but WCAG 2.0 failed here : ( unreadable text!
Would recommend to make the logo an .svg file. The highres PNG is just morphed / not sharp.
NIce. I do feel that the spacing on the nav items is a little tight.
