Show DN: SiteSee: A curated gallery of beautiful, modern websites

over 5 years ago from , Web Developer

I've always been a huge fan of site inspiration galleries, but I never did like that most of them have poor designs, are difficult to navigate, and don't evolve with the web. Instead of complaining, I built SiteSee - it's everything that I wanted.

I will continue to make it better (I still need to test in IE) and ship new features as needed. If you guys have any feedback, I'd love to hear it!

Looks good! One thing Im always missing on these kind of sites is some kind of :visited state. I like it tho

Would you consider adding an option to subscribe to a weekly newsletter?

This is a cool website but I do not want to have to remember to visit it weekly.

    What about a twitter bot?

    _ Nevertheless, nice work.

There's already newsletter, Twitter, and RSS links in the footer. I'm glad you mentioned this - I should consider making these links more noticeable.

For now, I'm scheduling manually written Tweets, and I'll see how this strategy works out in the long-term. I'm aiming to have tweets that are somewhat personal for each post.
