Can't wait for people to start parodying the earnest/serious portrait photo on designers' portfolio sites. Are employers really interested in seeing what someone looks like?
Keen to see the full site though!
Click the 'i' in 'Daniel'. Boom.
I don't get it. It looks like it's been bashed out with a geocities editor but I think this is the point. In which case, I don't get it.
As others have said, Dan's previous sites have been really nicely executed minimal affairs but this splash page looks odd.
Looks more like a 90s powerpoint template to me
I think that's deliberate and totally on-trend right now. I just don't really get why.
Dan's doing a "The Grid" site better than Grid sites. </cheapshot>
Props to the changing colors + blending mode fun, and the spinning under construction copy. Lots of designers have forgotten the joy of experimenting & just having fun. Thanks for sharing.
Trend-following
Daniel is well known around here, cool to see his site posted here!
Honestly I liked his old version, it was just minimal white site. For current site, I think colors can be better selected.
Yeah, I liked the previous version as well. Not so wild about this.
Refresh for a different set of colors.
It's not the colors. I just preferred the previous design.
Best to present a portfolio site when it's complete. Since this is "under construction" there's not much to say.
Who said it was a portfolio site.
Whatever it is, it's under construction. Car companies don't promote the chassis of an incomplete car.
Damnnnnn daniel, back at it with the portraits.
Don't get it...
