Not sure why you call yourself a fucking websmaster. I used to love being called a Webmaster. I was the only person I knew that had "master" in a job title. So why do you call yourself a fucking webmaster instead of a webmaster?

I'm assuming it's a reference to this motherfucking website.

Why do you think I'm offended? I'm not at all actually. I was just asking a question.

Nope....I was just asking a question. What part made it seem like I was? Even if i were, why did you feel it was your job to state it to the rest of the community? Why not just ask me?

The tone, along with the italics and bold formatting. I didn't feel like it was my job, I just figured I'd say what everyone else was probably thinking.

I am just a person on the internet. I didn't know it was that big of a deal to post what I did. My apologies.

OP here. If you don't like the language on this piece, you might like my original post from 2013 - earlier than motherfucking.web too ;)

In terms of why I used the language this time... it just felt right.

Never said I didn't like it. I was just asking why, that's all. It's funny how everyone assumes I'm pissed. I'm just curious, that's all.

And I really do prefer the original post. I'm sure it didn't get as much attention, but it should have, because it well written. You don't need to pollute good writing with fuck every second word IMO.

Instead of worrying about window dressing, we focused on words, hierarchy, and structure

Yes. Yes and yes. Cut out the gimmicks, cut out the crap. Think about the end user and their needs.

Autonomy and independence are central to the web

Systems are becoming so complex that this is crucial. Look at the toolkits developers use. Look at all the processes. We need to not forget the simplicity that the web was designed for.
