    Looks to be more in line with their web/desktop aesthetic

      Hi, This is good. But don't you think if the 'more option button' would be inline to other three buttons and in place of it we could have time stamp then it could have been better. And also, In this design there is a waste space to the left of place name which is unnecessary. So I think web version design is good and apps should be inline with it not other way around.

      Let me know if you agree with this.

        @Ravi, I think Instagram is intentionally removing the timestamp entirely, as they want the feed to become more flexible (i.e.- not necessarily chronological). I'm also guessing that they like the three action buttons being solitary as those are the primary actions they want you to take. I'd probably keep the 'more actions' button where it is, and cut everything except for "Report" and "Turn On Post Notifications", making that button respective to the poster's account.

        @Julien, Agreed.

    Interesting choice removing the brand colors from the app, they're possibly also rebranding?

    For what it's worth, I liked the blue text for indicating tappable text. now everything is more or less the same and you have to guess and check what's actionable. They also lost the iconic orange notification :/

    Feels like any other ran of the mill app and not instagram.

      I totally agree with you. When I first saw the pink notification my jaw dropped.

      Are all links/tappable text bold now? That's a nice neutral aesthetic, that steps back from the imagery, for an app that doesn't allow rich text input. It looks like hashtags are still blue though.

    I'm in the test. Feels over-thought and overall the texture across the nav and icons feels a bit off. Maybe they took it a step or five too far. Not a fan, personally.

    Does this mean that they'll FINALLY change the iOS icon to conform with iOS 7 aesthetic?? Whooaaaa!

    I love the black/dark-grey. It let's the content shine while the brand takes a humble backseat. I'm not a fan of getting rid of the orange though, that never took away from the experience, and changing it doesn't do a whole lot. Maybe each tab has it's own color? I'd still keep the orange, no reason to change that.

    Ive seen an ad on most job board that they've been looking for a Design Director for what seems like a couple years now. Maybe they just decided to forget about it and copy web?
