Fix: They actually fixed it pretty fast
but Mac OSX menu bar is still there in most of the images XD

Where exactly in this image?
Larry Ioannidis, over 6 years ago
Sorry, that's the fix. You can see below the original
(I am still not used to markdown so my bad ;) )

Ah there :) Shame

No, they haven't. I still see two FCP screenshots with the OS X menu bar clearly at the top of the screen (USB-C section and Hi-Fi audio section).

Under "Performance" they literally have half the screen with a Windows app, and the second half with Finder. I can't believe this got through.

To add insult to injury, right at the bottom of this picture is the Windows 10 logo.

It looks like they changed it quick!

I'm convinced the default state of a company is "incompetent." Companies that figure out how to be even reasonably competent at their work tend to massively blow every other out of the water.

I think that logic can be applied to any group of people. The more people involved, the higher probability things are going horribly wrong.
Tristan Harward, over 6 years ago
Absolutely. As you add people, the complexity increases and the problem gets exponentially more difficult. This is why work within a large company is making internal systems work to enable the gains of larger teams. Otherwise, you easily just work against yourself, which is why a 10 person company can often (excuse the term) disrupt huge industries in a very real way.

Haha it's as if they've hired a marketing agency who have proceeded to troll them massively!

Part of me is thinking this is intentional and they're hinting that this is designed to become a Hackintosh.
It's not explicitly stated or anything (because I imagine that's not allowed), but it would make sense. Equivalent hardware from Apple is probably, like, double the cost of this.
Alternatively the marketing guy who was in charge of the screenshots just didn't give a shit and wanted to go out with a bang.

Its hilarious that the comments-section have Uppercase !important; applied to each comment. Making it look like everyone is SHOUTING. Actually pretty much all the CSS is !important.
I feel sorry for the people who worked on the hardware to create a probably pretty good computer only to be display in such a bad light. Someones getting fired
Mike Hobizal, over 6 years ago Yikes! Bad photos and bad code. Double whammy!
John Leschinski, over 6 years ago
I mean, you can run OSX on it in all likelihood.

Hackintosh, FTW!
Laurens Spangenberg, over 6 years ago
Many computers can easily "run" OS X, the bigger question asked is whether accelerated graphics, wifi, bluetooth, ports, and sound work.
Kris Kim, over 6 years ago (edited over 6 years ago )
They removed entire section that originally included FC and Logic pro. But... this screenshot looks like Windows XP to me.
Ok I will stop here :)
Laurens Spangenberg, over 6 years ago
This looks more like Windows 7 than Windows XP in my opinion.
Mattan Ingram, over 6 years ago
This doesn't even have a high resolution screen like the Macbook and it's still $1500?
Yikes.

This underscores the importance of QA.

Sorry I had to comment again, just one review caught my eye: 'Fantastic Product!! Revolutionary design!! Light Weight, best in its class!' Sounds far from legit..
Cody Gallner, over 6 years ago They even use the name G5 SE for their next phone.
Zsolt Kacso, over 6 years ago It runs both Windows and OS X at the same time, did you not see the "BEST LAPTOP IN MY LIFE!!" comment?
Sean Geraghty, over 6 years ago
Hahaha are LG running about two weeks late with this?
Kris Kim, over 6 years ago
And they claim they've won innovation award and reddot design award...
