A lovely startup story here, from what I understand Colm Tuite was looking for opinions on his then new Design Tool on DN last year.

What started as a simple Heroku prototype seems to have flourished since joining Marvel. Nice work, and a great example of how this forum has changed lives!
We also launched Marvel on Designer News when it was a side-project! The first batch of users we got came from here and helped us turn into a startup. Amazing support, thanks all!
Awesome. Really inspiring stuff, It makes me want to revisit my roughly-137 unfinished side projects :)
Getting emotional there Tom? :)
Thanks for following along, I guess it is a nice story. I was kinda lost at one point, had spent a decent amount of money and was struggling to raise funding. Then it all just came together and now we have some exciting plans in the works.
I can feel a wankery Medium post coming on...
Awesome story. Looking forward to the inspirational medium post.
It might bring me back to Medium; I can no longer stand the clickbait enough to fish for the good stuff.
Also I think "wankery Medium post" is a good title.
Is it a real thing or is this a teaser? Can't find any link.
It's in Beta at the moment :)
Ok, misleading title on purpose, got it.
I don't know, seems like an introduction to me.
The title says 'Introducing Canvas (Marvel)'. So it's an introduction to the fact that Marvel is working on something new named Canvas. And the blogpost + beta is kind of an introduction to it right?
Introducing the Possibility of an Introduction Sometime in the Future
Solid stuff, looking forward to testing this out. What email address should we be reaching out to enroll in the beta?
Cheers Lofton :)
