As a daily user since it's inception, this layout confuses me, I have to say. For news sites, I just want simplicity. Still love Quartz, though.

As a daily reader of quartz, I hate this design. It de-emphasizes the content and starts with an ad on top.

It's really fast. I like the endless scroll as well. The typography is very clear and readable. I enjoy it. Well done.

Quartz pretty much pioneered the infinite scroll trend for news sites.

Neat execution, but it's too easy to get lost in the blend of similarly-colored photos and headlines up-top. The mobile layout (and the simplistic list view of the "latest stories" section) is much, much cleaner. Glad to see they left the article pages themselves mostly alone.

I understand that these news sites want to keep a modern presence, but when they pick extravagance over elegance it only hinders the reader experience.

Hover effects for everything....gets really distracting trying to scroll through.

Nice way to execute the bottom navigation and keep it from scroll jacking the body content

I totally don't understand the top sections of the homepage, it seems Flipboard or a product website, not a newspaper...

I preferred the old layout. I am quite tired of the bloomberg messy layout trend, which should never have become so common.

I really like the effort Quartz have put in at the front end, it makes the website so so fast, especially on the mobile devices!

I've always liked Quartz's approach to it's content design, even though I've found the organization of it a little confusing.

They used to run a narrow sidebar down the left side from the nav elements, but it looks like that's gone now...

Clean focus, some nice supporting features, and FAST (SO FAST)...
