    Joel, did you decide to post on Medium as another experiment in distribution?

    Also in your response to A Paul, that would be a great follow up post about both direct and intangible benefits of active promotion.

    So how did this traffic benefit you? Are there any benefits to getting a bunch of traffic from other designers? Were you able to parlay the traffic into a job or getting more clients?

      The first round of traffic resulted in dozens of companies pursuing me. I'm guessing this has also been the experience of other designers with portfolios that went viral here.

      Since then, my design network grew tremendously, which is now making it easier to hire and to get mentorship from people I admire.
