Those bézier controls look awesome. I want that type of vector control in other apps now.
I've been waiting on this for an while and it looks like it's going to be worth it. Really looking forward to the axis-based design features.
i love this part of the disclaimer - "FontLab will not be responsible for loss of data or time, nor any increase in your unhappiness with the limitations of other font creation software."
As someone who is interested in making my own fonts, this could deb a slippery slope.
That's an extensive update. I was wondering what FontLab would do in reaction to Robofont, which I know a lot of type designers moved over to. There are some seriously great tools there, but I think this is the one that I'm most glad to see:
FontLab VI does not lock you into a proprietary file format, but allows easy file exchange with other apps that use .vfb, .fog, .ufo, .glyphs, .otf, .ttf, .svg, .png or .jpg.
Should make the option of including FontLab into a workflows a little easier.
This looks amazing! Any idea on pricing once it's out of preview?
It's probably going to be in the $500 - $700 range based on past pricing.
Aaah, I suspected as much after browsing through their current products. Thanks.
