Ask: Have you ever tried using Keynote for prototyping?

almost 8 years ago from , UI Designer

I'm just looking for some quick feedback. I've finally made the decision to branch off from using Photoshop and have only been hearing feedback in regards to Sketch. Personally, I find that it's faster but super buggy so I'm just exploring other options.

Yes! The company I work for uses Keynote extensively for prototyping. It's fast, robust, and fairly ubiquitous. Plus, as an Apple product, it's transitions/motions mirror the iOS ones really closely. I'm a fan.

I love keynote, and i've seen some great prototypes created in it, but I prefer to use it for communication and instead use something like the InVision app for desktop/mobile prototyping or Atomic is new & pretty cool if you're designing for mobile. They have some interesting animation effects built in. I've been trying to find an excuse to experiment with it more.
