Big Update! RightFont: Beautiful Font Manager for Everyone (rightfontapp.com)

Looks pretty great!
But "for everyone"? And then it is Mac only?
The Windows version is under consideration, and the team is taking researches now.
So, it is currently not for everyone?
Nothing is ever for everyone. It's clear what the intent was; there's no need to be pedantic.
"Cross platform" is the word you'd see to describe what you're looking for. "For everyone" is pretty consistently applied as another form of "for your grandmother/grandfather" type of marketing speak.
Or can we start tagging everything with appropriate audiences? "Note: only for able-bodied and cognitively performant English speaking westerners in the top 3% of global wealth with ample personal computing experience and uninterrupted wireless connectivity."
At least then it'd be drawing attention to disparities that matter, instead of which OS you chose to work on ;)
But really, I was a Windows guy forever until I started really writing code and then switched to Mac. If you get the chance (I know not everyone does) it's tools like this that make the switch worth it.
Sorry, but in software terms "for everyone" for me suggests it is crossplatform.
And yes working on a mac is fantastic, but there are a few things I have to do on a PC, so it would be amazing to have a few better tools over there as well.
Apple advertises OS X “for everyone.” I don’t think it runs on Windows PCs, though.
Thank you. You should start a sincere marketing tumblr.
I'm right in the middle of a Windows to Mac switch right now actually and I'm having the same exact experience you mentioned when developing. This might actually be my only pro Mac comment to date. But after seeing all the software being developed for it i just stopped enjoying Windows as much.
But really, I was a Windows guy forever until I started really writing code
So for the past 8 years I haven't really been writing code? It's all an illusion?
By "I" I meant "me." I'm not sure what your experience has been.
Everyone with mac, you mean? I'm a Windows guy, greatly disappointed.
Ooh I was looking forward to when lists were going to be added! It grouped all of my typekit and google fonts automatically too!
Grouping font families would be nice to reduce how long the all fonts list gets. Also being able to add custom filters, there's no monospace or handwriting filter for example right now.
Are you guys planning on adding activation/deactivation or is that something you guys aren't focusing on?
thank you so very much for your feedback! :) Both the grouping families & the activation/deactivation feature are on our roadmap, and may be available in next update!
Before adding any more features, we need to consider how to keep it simple enough to use, and that's why we are unwilling to implement too many features at a time.
Activation and deactivation +1
Yeah, family grouping would be great. I really want to favorite the families.
I would love a way to set a hotkey to focus the window.
Cool idea. Will implement this feature in next version (very soon...)
The new version has huge improvements since the last first release. Really awesome!
It feels good, and the ui is simple and elegant. I can even change fontlist cover image, like it.
Looks and feel great! Load time is pretty quick, though it does seems to have to scan my computer for fonts each time.
One suggestion: multiple selection in the "All Fonts" page so that I can add multiple fonts (or whole families) to a list at the same time.
Nice name.
Does this app search my computer for fonts, or does it look in a specific folder? I'm not seeing most of my collection showing up in the list.
OMG!! I love the concept!
