The now-defunct Berg did some really valuable things with a washing machine and iPhone. This is how smart appliances should work — don't just graft a touchscreen on a fridge and slap some crappy version of Evernote on it. Consider your user's needs and how you can enhance their experience by doing the things a computer does best, like doing repetitive tasks and reducing friction in common, but varied, ones.
