The note on "the death of the ring tone" is interesting because I honestly can't think of a single person I know that still leaves their ringer on (in any form) - almost everyone around me just leaves it on vibrate or silent all the time.
And 3/4 of them never notice the vibration and are thus unreachable via phone.
If they're anything like me, that's by design.
like if your neighbor is texting you about his hot tub you can just shoot back with a quick “lol fuck u”

Agree with everything. I'm saying all of this since October when I got the moto360. Apple is getting wrong wearables.
A whole lot of this applies to the Android Wear camp as well. It is passive and it is fantastic.
