Hey folks, I wanted to share a project that I started two years ago aimed at making web designers' lives a little easier when dealing with client feedback.
I don't know about the rest of you but back when I used to build sites for clients, feedback was one of those things that was a massive time sink unless I could arrange a face to face session. Getting a non-tech person to explain things with enough detail so I could fix stuff or make changes was often painful.
With BugHerd we have tried to make this easier by allow users to give feedback directly on a website, while in the background we grab enough data that a designer or developer can actually address what's been reported.
We've been pitching it as a bug tracker for quite some time, but people use it for all kinds of things: website annotations, customer support, website translations. Our most frequent users though are web design agencies.
We think we have something pretty cool on our hands, but I think we could do a much better job of communicating the value of the product.
As the sole designer on this project I'm in desperate need of a sounding board, so if any of you folks have thoughts and suggestions on what we could do to better communicate our product I would be thrilled to hear them.
Apologies for the ultra long post, and if you've made it all the way here thanks for taking the time to read this!
Cheers,
