This side project got slightly out of hand! I got weirdly interested in finance and banks so spent a year researching/learning/building relationships in the space and came up with Dimes. We’re UK based which is nice as I think the UK lacks services like this.

Although, this being DN and all, I do have to comment on the music playing on the background: not cool.

Autoplaying music? Instantly closed the tab.

Please add a mute button, make the video optional to play, or at the very least give us an option to pause the video.

Very, very obnoxious.

The video at the top of the landing page clearly sells a fun, energetic atmosphere. But, it takes a long time to get to the end of the video and figure out what this page is about. It's an aesthetically nice video, but — at a glance — I wouldn't understand what dimes is.

Was discussing why no one had created a service just like this over lunch the other day. Then boom this arrives and it looks great.

Also finally the UK gets access to something first!

Looks interesting. Your mockups are all with an iPhone, and your beta sign up doesn't ask which mobile OS a person is using. Is your beta limited to iOS users or can Android users also sign up?

Also, playing in the background music was rather annoying! And stretched on my monitor the video wasn't the best resolution.
