Technically impressive, no doubt, but I almost feel like the site itself is drowning out the actual work. Lots of effects and UI/UX getting in the way of appreciating her portfolio.
Maybe i'm a philistine of sorts, but I tend to prefer simpler portfolios where the work, rather than the container, does the talking.
Also the typography is a little lacking, some text is very small and the measure gets a little out of hand on bigger screens. Especially galling when you list type as a key skill.
And I'm having a few general technical issues around the site (as other comments have mentioned) e.g. images not loading in time, or disappearing once you scroll back up to them.
That said, it's great work for still doing your degree, far better than I ever was back then. Very bright future ahead, i'm sure.
brb updating my website. jk, I love this though. I feel woefully inadequate.
I really like this website. The only part I'm not too fond of is the top section (creative minimalist). I prefer the look and feel of the rest of the site. I really like the Infinitea design as well.
Looks really good. Good to see Queensland being represented in Designer News.
In the hero the menu button doesn't work as you are capturing this event to toggle the gallery.
The parallax effect on items in the portfolio when clicked is really jittery with the images often getting stuck when scrolling. Honestly think you could go without the parallax here, the page composition works without it.
Small detail would be to wrap the link for "View Website" around the icon and text to make them both anchors. Otherwise you have a :hover effect on the icon with no real interaction.
+1 to all of this. All I'd add is that the menu icon could be a little more elegant. If these points are assessed then this site could look, and work, a lot better than it already does. Great work.
